Today they had two, but considering the players, the xG, the possession, and the money spent, it was still a meager return for the season.
Frank Lampard lamented the absence of "killers" in his team during the post-match press conference following the 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest.
He is of course the appropriate one to level that criticism. He was a deadly striker himself, but he also had a keen sense of game management, having studied under some of the greatest exponents of the craft.
