Lampard promotes under-14 captain to first team
Charlie Holland, the club's Under-14s captain, has received a promotion to join the first team training under interim Chelsea manager Frank Lampard.
Prior to their weekend match against Nottingham Forest, Holland reportedly trained with the senior players on Thursday.
Following their 3-1 victory over Bournemouth the previous weekend, the Blues travel to face Nottingham Forest.
Holland was seen jogging alongside Conor Gallagher, Thiago Silva, Mateo Kovacic, and first-team fitness coach Matt Birnie in video released by Sky Sports of Chelsea players at the start of their training session.
Holland has been brilliant for the Blues' Under-14 team, helping them to a 5-0 victory over Fulham in the Albert Phelan Cup South final earlier this month.
And he appears to have received his promotion to the first team as compensation for the opportunity to practise with more experienced players.
