Lampard identifies a special Chelsea player
N'Golo Kante, a French midfielder for Chelsea, has been described by interim manager Frank Lampard as a special member of the team.
In his news conference prior to Wednesday night's UCL encounter against Real Madrid, Lampard made this point clear.
Kante was selected for the Blues team and might start.
I think N'Golo is a unique player, Lampard stated in reference to the France international. N'Golo has had recent injury challenges, which I am aware of, but I saw him bounce back at a pretty high level.
He did so against Liverpool in the Super Cup a few years back. He passed a fitness test, had not played in a while, and for 120 minutes, was the best player on the field. He is a unique player, thus he has the ability to achieve that.
It's a wonderful thing that he's back because we miss him as a club when he's gone because of how terrific he is.
