At Stamford Bridge, Joe Cole picks a trio from Chelsea as the secret weapon against  Real Madrid comeback.

Frank Lampard's team needs three Chelsea players to beat Real Madrid the following week, according to Joe Cole.
Joe Cole, a Chelsea legend, thinks that his former team has a chance to overturn a 2-0 deficit against Real Madrid. The Blues lost the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal match on Wednesday at the Bernabeu, but Cole believes Raheem Sterling, Joao Felix, and Kai Havertz in particular might step up and win the match at Stamford Bridge.

With goals from Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio, the defending champions won in Madrid with remarkable ease. Ben Chilwell was dismissed from Chelsea at 1-0 for obstructing a clear goal-scoring opportunity.

If Real had been more ruthless in front of goal, it might have been worse for the visitors. However, Chelsea still has a chance in the second leg on Tuesday.

On Saturday, Chelsea must play Brighton first in the Premier League. Cole thinks it's critical that they defeat the Seagulls to instill some attacking confidence in some of their players before Real's trip to London, where they haven't scored in four straight games.

It's not over, according to Cole on BT Sport. Moments from a difficult night went to Real Madrid. Real Madrid, who are the current champions and have an exceptional front line, were by much the superior team.

"Chelsea came here, and there were several opportunities for Chelsea in the first half. The fact that they are still playing is a plus for the game because it demonstrates their character, heart, and will to persevere.

This club needs a strong performance on Saturday in order to go into that game on Tuesday night and give it their best. Given that this is the most difficult venue in all of European football to play in, and given that they had to do it with 10 men after falling behind by a goal as well, Frank will be quite proud of his players.

Cole thinks that the Chelsea front trio of Havertz, Sterling, and Felix can particularly worry Real. But he insists that they must first take advantage of Saturday as the ideal chance to regain some consistency in front of goal.

Raheem Sterling, Joao Felix, and Kai Havertz are just a few of the great players they have in their attacking line, he said.

"We've seen them have big moments and win multiple trophies between them, but you've got to get them some kind of belief, and the only thing that can do that is a result," a sports commentator said.
