Exclusive: Fabrizio Romano explains why Mason Mount wants to leave Chelsea for Manchester United.

Mason Mount has made it clear that he wants to leave the Chelsea Football Club, and Manchester United is reportedly one of the teams who are interested in hiring him.

The England international is obviously disappointed in the Blues, and Mount looks to want to move on from Stamford Bridge while anarchy still reigns there.

One might say that Chelsea really fumbled this one for a player with such a promising future in the game and an enviable skill set.

Over the course of the season, Erik ten Hag has shown that in addition to having outstanding tactical acumen, he is a superb motivator of men and understands how to get the best out of them.

In his rookie campaign, he came close to winning both of the domestic cup competitions and earning a spot in the Champions League for the next year.

There is no reason why he can't lead the Red Devils to greater success at Old Trafford with the proper players on board.

The Red Devils have persisted in communicating with Mount in an effort to convey to him how eagerly they desire for him to join them. In his CaughtOffside Substack, Fabrizio Romano disclosed that he is their top priority signing.

The player respects ten Hag's style of play and his steadfastness in getting Mount to Old Trafford. The initiative is exciting, and the athlete is keeping his composure because there is absolutely no problem with regard to personal terms.

United are also pleased because they are aware that Mount is eager to transfer, but the biggest obstacle is Chelsea's stance on the asking fee.

There is still plenty of time for both parties to reach an agreement and complete the transaction because the summer transfer window has only recently opened.

Simply put, their player no longer wants to represent them, thus Chelsea would be best served to do just that.
