£40 million MIDFIELDER WANT STAMFORD BRIDGE STAY.

Transfer horizon for Newcastle United Conor Gallagher hopes to remain at Chelsea, but that dream might not come true.

Conor Gallagher wants to stay at Chelsea, according to The Mirror, despite interest from Newcastle United.

In the upcoming summer transfer window, Newcastle wants to acquire Gallagher from Chelsea, a rival in the Premier League.

The midfielder "may have cooled on a potential move" to the Magpies, but the article claims that he wants to stay at the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League champion.

When Mauricio Pochettino was the head coach of Tottenham Hotspur, he extended opportunities to homegrown players. He is now the manager of Chelsea.

That apparently gave Gallagher motivation.

The 23-year-old midfielder for the England national team might not get his desire, though.

The Chelsea management wants to transfer the teenager in the summer of 2023, according to a report from talkSPORT on May 28. This is because they are not convinced by him.

The Chelsea management does not believe Gallagher has contributed enough to have a promising future with the Blues.

According to the article, Chelsea is seeking £40 million in transfer fees for Gallagher, and he is also reportedly being pursued by Newcastle United, West Ham United, and Crystal Palace.

Conor Gallagher and Chelsea can only have one victor.
The Chelsea management will find a method to get rid of Conor Gallagher if they want him to leave.

Gallagher may now choose to remain, but it would be difficult for the teenager to get into the team if Chelsea decided to deploy other players ahead of him or add additional midfielders during the summer transfer window.

We think Gallagher ought to just go and join another team if Chelsea is truly interested in getting rid of him.
