Raheem Sterling: "Chelsea" represents one of my career's low points.
Raheem Sterling has referred to Chelsea's current downturn as one of his career's low times, but he thinks the Premier League team will eventually grow stronger as a result of the difficulties.

Despite spending a lot of money on players, including Sterling's £47.5 million ($60m) deal from Manchester City, Chelsea's 3-1 loss to Arsenal on Tuesday put them in 12th place in the table and heading for their worst season since the 1993–94 season.

The England international has only scored seven goals in 34 appearances for Chelsea, unable to match the form that made him an important member of a squad that won ten major titles.

"In my opinion, this is one of my lowest times in my professional life. Even while it may sound strange, this is a tremendous learning curve, Sterling told Sky Sports.

"It's been pretty easy going winning, winning, winning, but sometimes in life stuff gets thrown at you and it is a challenge that I'm looking forward to, hitting it head on and not trying to hide from it," the speaker said.

It will only make the group and I stronger, too. These difficulties—in life as much as in football—are essential to how we handle situations and go forward.
