Sadly, we've reached the tiresome phase of any executive appointment: Fabrizio Romano's incremental updates. Every time he mentions a small improvement in how the discussion is going, his engagement slightly increases, and we feel obligated to let him know about it.
His update, as it was earlier today, was quite helpful in advancing the Mauricio Pochettino transfer to Chelsea, which at this point seems likely. The Argentine reportedly had "very positive talks" tonight after earlier today it was mentioned that he had instructed his team to get ready for a new position.
However, Romano cautions that the official contract must still be "sent checked and signed." That's probably what the next "major update" from Romano will consist of. We presume that he is receiving this information directly from one of the two sides. In either case, everything points to a transaction being finalised and announced within a few days or at most a fortnight.
