Kepa explains Chelsea's issues by saying, "It is costing us," but omits himself.

The ability to read a room poorly belongs to Kepa Arrizabalaga.

His comments in the Evening Standard following yesterday night's loss are hardly shocking, but when supporters are feeling sensitive following a terrible season, even something minor might set them off.

The goalkeeper chose to pin the responsibility for this incident on outside forces the day after he and his team turned in a dismal performance and after he was at least partially to blame for two goals, even if he also said, rather ambiguously, "The players are the first to be responsible."

"It is costing us," he continued. "There have been three changes in the coaching staff and changes to the team throughout the season.

Yet, Kepa, you are aware of the true cost to us. having a goalkeeper who is unable of performing basic saves and a team that is willing to place the blame anywhere other than their own mistakes.

Everyone can see how the team's cohesiveness is being harmed by the manager and playing staff changes, but if the players we already had were contributing, we wouldn't have needed to replace them, and the outcomes would have been satisfactory enough to avoid three management changes. Have you given it any thought?
