Chelsea is now a laughingstock thanks to Frank Lampard, and Boehly must axe him.

It's time for Todd Boehly to accept his error in bringing back "Super Frank" and let someone else oversee the first team for the balance of the season after Chelsea suffered yet another defeat under Frank Lampard.

Boehly and everyone else associated with the Blues certainly let their feelings rule their heads when deciding someone should succeed Graham Potter, given Lampard's recent track record as a manager.

He should be held to the same standards as Potter and all other managers in the Premier League, regardless of whether he is the permanent manager or only an interim.

When it's all said and done, Lampard has turned the west London team into an embarrassment.

No matter how he dresses it up in press conferences, nobody is fooled by his act. He isn't qualified to manage at the highest level, whether in a caretaker capacity or otherwise, and under his watch, real world-class athletes are slipping backward.

If it isn't a warning sign for Boehly, he also obviously has no idea how to manage a football team.

It can be difficult to regain a player's confidence after it has been lost, so it's likely that Lampard is causing both immediate and long-term injury to the team.

It is beyond dispute that he was one of the club's greatest midfielders ever, but as the boss of this illustrious organisation, he must be put out of his agony.
