The fact that Manchester United is attempting to recruit Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount this summer is known to all and everybody.
The two clubs must now agree on a transfer cost after Manchester United and the England international signed a personal terms deal.
Ben Chilwell, a teammate of Mount's from Chelsea, and Mount were in Barcelona on Sunday afternoon to watch the Spanish Grand Prix. He ran into Sky Sports host Martin Brundle there and they spoke on the track before the race.
Before directing Brundle to Mount, Chilwell spoke with the Chelsea midfielder first. However, Mount was not prepared to be questioned about a prospective transfer to United.
Let's talk to Mason," the midfielder said, to which the player's response was, "What's he saying? What does he say?
Following that, Brundle made a direct statement: "He says you're going to Manchester United!"
When pressed, Mount said awkwardly, "I'm here to just enjoy this race today, amazing day, can't wait to watch it."
