Kai Havertz gives a parting message as Arsenal gets ready for the £65 million medical

Mikel Arteta is eager to add to his options for the upcoming season, and Kai Havertz has delivered a farewell message to one Chelsea player. Havertz has been extensively linked with a move to Arsenal.

Reece James and Mason Mount wished Kante well on his upcoming professional battle earlier this week, referring to him as the "nicest guy in football" and a "legend." The international player from France had a successful seven-year tenure at Stamford Bridge, taking home titles in the Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League, Europa League, UEFA Super Cup, and Club World Cup.

A goodbye message from Kai Havertz is sent as Arsenal prepares for the £65 million medical.

Upon joining Al-Ittihad, Kai Havertz complimented N'Golo Kante. The 32-year-old midfielder was given the option to stay at Chelsea longer, but he chose to challenge himself in the Saudi Pro League.

Havertz has paid tribute to Kante despite rumours about his future in west London. It was an amazing privilege to play with you, and I wish you the best in the future, the international player from Germany stated on Instagram.

Like Mount, Havertz delivers his message as he approaches a move against a direct foe. As Mikel Arteta gears up for the team's first Champions League campaign in six years, the 23-year-old attacker has been widely linked with a move to Arsenal recently.

In fact, according to football.london, Havertz might make his debut for the Gunners as soon as next week. Arsenal made a better effort to negotiate a deal with Chelsea in a deal for £60 million, including £5 million in add-ons, after having their initial offer rejected last week.

According to football.london, Havertz will have a medical this weekend abroad and, if all goes according to plan, will sign with Arteta's team as the first summer addition. The German has been advised against signing with Arsenal, despite the manager's desire to work with him.

Jason Cundy and Ray Parlour both voiced their worries on talkSPORT. He is a fantastic footballer technically, according to the former Chelsea defender. But he lacks a little heart in my eyes. I'm not convinced he's the man you want if you're in a fight.

If I were an Arsenal supporter, I would be worried if he went missing. He can rapidly lose interest in games because he lacks a little bit of grit and fight.

The former Arsenal midfielder added: "If you're Arsenal, you need an outright goalscorer. They have excellent support play behind the striker, but they still lack a goal scorer.

"In my opinion, that's not the appropriate signing. However, it is apparent that Mikel Arteta and Edu will be discussing things behind the scenes and considering where he may play. There could be a strategy for him. You must provide any player who joins a club with a chance.

Ivan Toney would have been the obvious choice for me, but it's a shame because I would have chosen him. He obviously has that ban, and it's unclear whether they want to take a chance with that.
