Frank Lampard, the manager of Chelsea, has acknowledged that his team may experience "some nervousness" as they prepare to welcome Nottingham Forest on Saturday because of their dismal home record.

The West London club defeated Bournemouth 3-1 to give the Blues icon his first victory since rejoining the team as interim manager through the end of the season last month.

However, the season has been a disaster for Chelsea, who are currently in 11th place with Lampard as their third manager after Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter were fired.

Forest will have confidence that they can pick up just a second league away victory this year given the hosts' tumultuous season. After defeating Southampton 4-3 on Monday, Steve Cooper's team is three points above the bottom three.

And ahead of the weekend's game, Lampard commented about their dismal home record, which has seen them go without a league victory at Stamford Bridge since defeating Leeds at the start of March.

According to Football.London, he remarked, "Form has not been great and it can build up some nervousness among players and fans."

Lampard has also discussed the danger the Reds will present to his club when the two teams square off.

"It's a big test," he continued. "We must treat them with the utmost respect.

"They play in an efficient manner. In terms of set pieces and fighting for everything, they are quite dangerous.
