What Frank Lampard said to the Chelsea team following Bournemouth's victory

Following Chelsea's victory over Bournemouth, Frank Lampard urges the team to "have a beer or a glass of wine" to celebrate snapping a six-match losing streak and earning his first victory as interim manager.

After Chelsea took a "small step forward" by snapping their six-match losing streak with a 3-1 victory at Bournemouth, Frank Lampard urged his team to celebrate with a drink or glass of wine.

Benoit Badiashile and Joao Felix scored late goals to give the Blues a much-needed victory at Vitality Stadium after Cherries defender Matias Vina had erased Conor Gallagher's early header.

The victory on the south coast was Lampard's first since his temporary return to Stamford Bridge a month ago, and it was a fitting way to end his 100th match as a Premier League manager.

The former England and Blues midfielder urged his squad to celebrate their first win in nearly two months, but he also cautioned them against taking it easy heading into their final four games of a disastrous season.

Because you progressively get knocked down when you don't have that emotion for a while, Lampard remarked, "They should enjoy it and we're happy."

It was clear when I entered the dressing room that there was a lot of cleaning up to be done, and since you need outcomes to match that to keep moving forward, that's been challenging.

A minor but significant step was made today.

"The lads are all human; we're all affected in similar ways when we don't feel like we're performing at our best, and the only way to get through that is to fight and work through it," said one of the players.

I've experienced rough times in my life, so they should definitely enjoy tonight and have a beer, glass of wine, or whatever they choose to do.

"But because it's important, we cannot take our foot off the pedal in terms of trying to move forward until the end of this season."

The two-time European champions now have 42 points, three more than their hosts, despite still being in the lowest half of the standings after their victory in Dorset.

Before the late drama, Bournemouth had the best of the opportunities, but Dango Ouattara wasted a wonderful opportunity by heading the ball over from inside the six-yard box.

In the final eight minutes, Badiashile and Felix made up for their carelessness, allowing Chelsea supporters to celebrate the long-awaited victory with ironic chants of "we're staying up."

Raheem Sterling and Hakim Ziyech, two substitutes who had received some jeers from the away end, replied by assisting Felix and Badiashile, respectively.

Lampard supported the under-fire duo to demonstrate their true class in the wake of poor campaigns in an effort to reestablish the link between supporters and players.

I personally appreciate their support because our fans were magnificent today, added Lampard.

"I appreciate that everyone felt happy for the day at the end of the field.

"I believe that's critical to forging a bond between players and supporters."

Despite the fact that Hakim and Raheem have great talent as football players and that opinions might change with time, they both desire to succeed.

"I believe they have a permanent class, and I'm happy for them for making a difference when they appeared."

Gary O'Neil, the manager of Bournemouth, lamented his team's squandered opportunities.

He remarked, "I thought it was a fair contest." There were many parts of it that I enjoyed.

When we were ahead, Vina had a one-on-one with Kepa (Arrizabalaga), who made a terrific stop. Kepa also made a great block from Dango from four or five yards out, and of course the big opportunity, Dango's free header.

'The game will likely end quite differently if we get our noses in front.

We weren't clinical enough, and now we're being penalized at the other end, which makes me disappointed.
