As Mauricio Pochettino delivered a significant Chelsea loss, Todd Boehly disregarded Cesc Fabregas' advice.
Following a dismal season, Chelsea's fortunes could be turned around under Mauricio Pochettino, which would be an enormous undertaking.
According to Cesc Fabregas' hypothesis, Mauricio Pochettino's chances of leading Chelsea to the Premier League title the next season have been dealt a severe hit. The Stamford Bridge head coaching position has been heavily connected to the former Tottenham manager recently, and his hiring now appears to be imminent.
According to football.london, the Blues and Pochettino have reached an agreement for the latter to become the team's new manager. After several weeks of productive discussions, Pochettino is scheduled to succeed Frank Lampard at the end of the current campaign.
The 51-year-old reportedly hasn't signed a deal yet, but it's anticipated that he will do so shortly. Although his arrival could already be too late, Pochettino will have a whole preseason to establish his bearings and start making plans for the following season.
When Antonio Conte was appointed Chelsea's manager in April 2016, he met with the players privately before his official start date to go over his season-long strategy. In a recent interview with Sky Sports, Fabregas discussed how the Italian's early appointment inspired the Blues to win the Premier League.
Fabregas has claimed that Boehly is behind schedule with just two weeks left in May. The former Chelsea and Arsenal midfielder said: "Let's not forget anything, six years ago we had a really horrible season with Chelsea, finishing, if I remember properly, 10th.
"After Jose Mourinho left, Guus Hiddink arrived, and he began to play younger players, such Tammy Abraham, Andreas Christiansen, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, to give them experience for the upcoming season.
"I recall that they hired [Antonio] Conte in April, and he came to the training facility, spoke with each of us individually, and planned what he wanted to do with us to start again. The following year, we won the Premier League. Against [Jurgen] Klopp, [Pep] Guardiola, and Mourinho at Manchester United. It's not unachievable.
"I know you're going to tell me there are a lot of new players and it's hard, but this happened six years ago and I was there; I experienced it. It is possible if you choose someone with character, experience, and the ability to bring people together, articulate his goals, and work diligently to win their support.
