Lampard declares as he waves Chelsea off, "I gave it everything."
Frank Lampard's tenure as Chelsea's head coach has come to an end after their last season match against Newcastle United, as his short-term contract with the club expired.
Lampard thanked the supporters for their support in a post-game statement.
It was lovely to bid the crowds of supporters farewell and spend some time together at the conclusion. Lampard said, "They were wonderful.
Fernandes clarifies his decision not to celebrate his goal against Chelsea.
In order to quickly help Chelsea turn things around, Lampard claimed he gave it his all.
"I believe Chelsea supporters, and especially the match-going supporters, observed the circumstances that I entered. The truth is that turning things around quickly has not been simple, but I have given everything during this time and am truly a member of this club for life.
Chelsea completed this season in 12th place overall and won't participate in the Europa League or Uefa Champions League next year.
