Joao Felix ends €100 million transfer talks with a single statement.
Joao Felix's loan at Chelsea is about to expire in a few games, and his future is still in limbo.
After a promising beginning and a few moments of brilliance, he truly faded, and it's highly doubtful that the club will pony up the big bucks required to make his transfer permanent.
Newcastle emerged this week as a team who would be interested in him as a result of Chelsea's lack of interest, which has led to an increase in reports regarding moves to other Premier League clubs.
Felix's native Portugal's Eleven Sports broke the story on Instagram, asking followers to comment on whether the offensive midfielder would be worth the €100 million Atletico Madrid reportedly wants for him. Funny enough, Felix was one of those who responded.
Sarcastically, he said, "[Marca] are intelligent guys.
We don't believe it to be as implausible as he claims. If Chelsea is unwilling to purchase him and Atletico Madrid is eager to offload him, Felix may find the ideal home at Newcastle if he wants to remain in the Premier League and compete in the Champions League.
So Joao, don't try to be too clever. You might have to take back what you said.
