I don't blame Mauricio Pochettino for delaying to take the Chelsea job, according to Frank Lampard.

The interim manager thinks that the club's practise of frequently changing managers may have cost him three Premier League championships while he was a player.

The challenging schedule of games still to play, according to Frank Lampard, is not to be held responsible for Mauricio Pochettino or the next Chelsea manager not taking over before the end of the season.

In their final six games, Chelsea must play the top four teams in the Premier League, beginning with Tuesday's trip to Arsenal. However, Chelsea is currently on a terrible run, having dropped all five of their games under Lampard and going eight games without a victory.

The projected appointment of Pochettino is the subject of continuing negotiations, and Lampard, who is serving as Chelsea's interim manager, questioned if they should wait to find the best manager. They should, without a doubt.

"We have reached the point in the season where we are aware that we will not qualify for Europe, and other managers are probably saying things like, 'I'll look into this and wait until pre-season when I can impose what I want to do. They're not being silly; the run-in features the top four, which will make for a challenging series of games.

Chelsea's final three contests are on the road against Manchester City and Manchester United, and at home against Newcastle United, as they currently sit in 12th place.

Lampard also stated that he might have won more league titles at the club if they had not changed head coaches so frequently while he was a player. He urged the Chelsea administration to give the new manager time, similar to how Arsenal has been patient with Mikel Arteta.

Since then, the ownership has also changed, with Roman Abramovich being compelled to sell to the Todd Boehly-led consortium, but Lampard insisted that the fundamental idea has not altered.

"I was always a member of the Chelsea team that frequently changed managers. It is simple to say that I had excellent success in retrospect, the former midfielder stated.

"I won three championships, but I really ought to have won five or six. That's how I feel. If we had been more consistent and able to move in one direction, we might have won more championships. And I believe we ought to have.
