Chelsea's Four-Man Striker Shortlist for £366 Million is Made Public For instance, "The New Haaland"

According to Simon Johnson of The Athletic, Rasmus Hojlund of Atalanta has been added to Chelsea's list of potential summer acquisitions. Romelu Lukaku will return from loan at the conclusion of the season, but the Blues are still expected to pursue the acquisition of a new striker.

Rasmus Hojlund is a target for Chelsea Add Hojlund to the Summer Targets List
After this terrible season is over, the London giants are expected to enjoy a busy summer transfer market. This is true even if they broke their previous transfer record to sign Enzo Fernandez from Benfica during the January transfer window.

Hojlund, who might cost as little as £43 million, has been added by Johnson to the list of striker targets Chelsea has presently set down to pursue in the summer transfer window. They have also made it a priority to find a replacement center-forward, particularly if Lukaku is unable to return following his loan stint at Inter Milan.

Johnson does add, however, that in order for the club to adhere to UEFA's Financial Fair Play regulations, they would need to significantly lower the number of players in their roster who are now above the age of 30, as well as earn money through player sales. Hojlund has also been mentioned as one of the forwards on their shortlist, along with players like Tammy Abraham, who they sold to AS Roma in 2021 and who has an £80 million buyback clause, and Napoli star Victor Osimhen, who reportedly has a £150 million asking price.

What advantages can Hojlund provide Chelsea?
Due to his comparable playing style to Erling Haaland, Hojlund has made a name for himself this season with Atalanta and has been dubbed "the new Haaland" in certain circles. The 20-year-old attacker claimed to be able to run 100 meters in under 10 seconds and was referred to by his team's manager Gian Piero Gasperini as a "very fast player." He can intimidate opponents and is a strong, big player who is clinical in the last third.

In 38 appearances for Atalanta this season, the 20-year-old has made 17 goal contributions, including 12 goals and five assists in all competitions. The Danish international striker seems to be a gifted player who is headed for greatness, but it is unclear whether Chelsea would make a serious effort to sign him.
