Ben Chilwell was replaced during Chelsea vs. Bournemouth due to what appears to be a hamstring injury.
Mason Mount, Reece James, Marc Cucurella, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Wesley Fofana are just a few of the Chelsea players who have missed time due to injury during the 2022–23 season.

Ben Chilwell of Chelsea was substituted during the Premier League match versus Bournemouth due to what appears to be a hamstring injury. After being replaced by Cesar Azpilicueta, the England international indicated that his right hamstring was bothering him as he made his way back to the bench.

Wesley Fofana, who was suffering from a hamstring ailment before kickoff, was excluded by Frank Lampard from the matchday squad out of caution. Now that it appears Chilwell has developed a similar issue, his availability for the remainder of the season appears to be in doubt, and he could miss the game against Nottingham Forest next week.

Benoit Badiashile and Joao Felix scored late goals to give the Blues their first victory under Lampard and clinch all three points. Chelsea has now moved up to 11th in the table, allaying concerns about a possible relegation.

Chiwell missed 10 games for the Blues earlier this season as a result of a hamstring injury. The 26-year-old will be sidelined the rest of the season if he misses the same amount of time this time.

Lampard will however be hoping that Chilwell's injury is not catastrophic in order to have him back before the 2022–23 season is through. Azpilicueta can fill in at left-back, but Chelsea won't have their starting full-backs because Reece James is also out injured.

To replace Chilwell in the starting XI for the game against Forest the following Saturday, Cucurella might also make his return.
