As Arsenal runs wild, Jamie Carragher rips three Chelsea players for being "absolutely shocking."
During Chelsea's match against Arsenal, Jamie Carragher was unreserved in his criticism of the Blues.
After Arsenal made it 3-0 against the Blues on Tuesday night, commentary player Jamie Carragher ripped into the Chelsea trio of Thiago Silva, Wesley Fofana, and Cesar Azpilicueta. In just three minutes, the Gunners doubled their lead at the Emirates from 1-0 to three goals. Before Gabriel Jesus entered the scoring column in the first half, Martin Odegaard scored a hat trick.
As a co-commentator for Sky Sports with Karen Carney, a former player for Chelsea women's soccer and Arsenal women's soccer, Carragher did not hold back while discussing the ridiculous defending for Arsenal's third goal. Aiming to prevent Jesus from scoring, he fired at Silva, Fofana, and Azpilicueta, all of whom fell to the ground.
The Liverpool great proclaimed, "Absolutely superb from Arsenal and absolutely awful from Chelsea. Currently, the club is a complete mess. Furthermore, for Frank Lampard, his staff, and Chelsea supporters, things could get a whole lot worse.
"Gabriel Jesus is at that back post, Ben White puts that ball in with his left foot at the far post, so easy to bring it down. Chelsea should feel bad about it.
It's similar to 5-a-side football. Three of them are currently seated on their bottoms in the six-yard box as the ball is put in and the shot is taken; this is arguably the best representation of Chelsea's season.
