Ally McCoist does not believe that Chelsea or any other Premier League elite club would benefit from signing Neymar of Paris Saint-Germain.
The 31-year-old Neymar may leave Parc des Princes at the end of the current campaign.

Earlier this month, 90min alleged that PSG would be willing to sell Neymar this summer and may demand at least £75 million to do so. They add that the player's representatives have spoken with Chelsea, Manchester City, and Manchester United to provide them with updates on their client.

Additionally, Todd Boehly, a co-owner of Chelsea, was recently reported by ESPN to be interested in signing Neymar and bringing him to Stamford Bridge.

Whether Neymar would be a decent addition for a Premier League team is a question that TalkSPORT expert McCoist has been asked.

"He's not a wise addition for Manchester United. He is a poor addition for Chelsea. He is a poor addition for Newcastle. He won't be joining Arsenal or Manchester City, he told talkSPORT.

With 18 goals and 17 assists in 29 PSG games in all competitions this season, it is clear that Neymar still has special skill.

The talented attacker, though, earns a big wage and has never previously competed in Premier League football.

Neymar isn't now a good fit for Chelsea, and we both agree on that.

The Blues already have a broad variety of players that they can add to their roster in the future.

While scanning the transfer market for new players this summer, Chelsea is in desperate need of a new goalkeeper and striker.
