A blow to the newly appointed chief is dealt by Todd Boehly's "bringing in trusted ally" to fix the Chelsea situation.

Chelsea, who are now 11th in the Premier League and on their fourth manager this season, are about to name a new chief executive in response to their poor season.

In order to help Chelsea resolve its current dilemma, Todd Boehly plans to enlist the aid of his dependable ally Chris Jurasek. This action is anticipated to cast doubt on Tom Glick, who was just named president of business.

Last May, a group led by Boehly acquired the team from Roman Abramovich and then spent astronomical sums on players like Raheem Sterling, Enzo Fernandez, and Mykhailo Mudryk. Chelsea recently disclosed losses of more than £120 million for the previous fiscal year as a result.

Additionally, Boehly plans to name a new CEO in an effort to assist Chelsea in overcoming its difficulties. The Times reports that Chelsea and Jurasek are in "final talks" as part of a "broader management restructure."

In addition to serving as CEO of EagleView Technologies, a business that Clearlake Capital invested in, Jurasek is also an operating executive for Clearlake Capital, the private equity group that also co-owns Chelsea. The story also states that Glick may be disappointed by Jurasek's upcoming appointment.

Glick, who had previously served as CEO of Derby County while they were a Premier League team and as Chief Commercial Officer of the City Football Group, had only been appointed in July but came with an outstanding résumé.

In addition, Boehly stated at the time of Glick's appointment: "Tom's remarkable track record as a leader and innovator at multiple reputable and successful sport organisations made him the logical option for this post.

His expertise will be essential as we develop Chelsea FC's critical infrastructure, broaden the Club's offerings and reputation, and come up with innovative new methods for our devoted fans to interact with their favourite players.

According to the report, Glick will now answer to Jurasek as part of the restructuring because he will be primarily in charge of the club's business affairs. It follows Boehly's earlier this month at the Milken Institute Global Conference disclosure of Chelsea's difficulties.

He said, "You know, they want to win, and we get that; you know, I think our position through was that this is a long-term initiative, and you know, we're dedicated to the long-term. "We have every confidence that we will solve the problem. We have the best league in the world, the best city in the world (in my opinion), and an incredible location in the best city in the world.
