The next step in the manager hunt for Chelsea is taken as one candidate is removed off the shortlist.

Following a 2-0 loss to Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge earlier this month, Chelsea fired Graham Potter as their long-term manager, and they are now looking for a replacement. Since then, Chelsea has retained Frank Lampard as their temporary manager for the end of the current campaign as they continue their search.

Since the 11th of March, Chelsea has gone without a victory since Lampard's arrival did not inspire the team. The squad's flaws are considerably more pervasive, and it will take an enormous effort to contain them. It must be a systematic, time-consuming process.

Finding the ideal manager to lead the team is one of the first stages in solving its issues. When Thomas Tuchel was fired, Chelsea owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali controlled the hiring procedure. After conducting the interviews, the Chelsea owners made the choice to hire Potter quickly.

Ruben Amorim won't take over as manager of Chelsea next.
Chelsea did not have a technical or a sporting director back then, but these days the Blues are well-staffed with seasoned individuals. Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart, technical directors, are in charge of hiring new employees. The conversations are going well, and the club administration is keen to carry out a thorough process.

Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann have both been interviewed by Chelsea and are on their shortlist. Mauricio Pochettino, Ruben Amorim, Antonio Conte, Luciano Spalletti, and even Jose Mourinho were also on the list. Enrique took a plane to London to promote his team-related thoughts. The Spaniard impressed Chelsea's top brass, but they wanted to conduct additional interviews before making a decision.

The club executives gave Nagelsmann the chance to introduce himself as well. The German spoke with them as well and is still vying for the open position. Nagelsmann is well-known to Christopher Vivell because the two of them collaborated at RB Leipzig and Hoffenheim.

The Athletic reports that the management search is currently in its middle stages and that just a small number of candidates remain on the shortlist. It is also known that Ruben Amorim, the manager of Sporting Lisbon, is no longer a candidate to lead CFC.

Before making a choice, Stewart and Winstanley will interview candidates in several iterations. For ratification, Boehly and Eghbali will get involved. Although there isn't yet a clear favourite for the position, a choice is anticipated in the coming weeks.
