Raheem Sterling discusses Chelsea's difficulties with sincere locker-room admissions.

Raheem Sterling, a forward for Chelsea, admitted that the team's players have struggled to find the right words following losses this season because of the team's frightening run of losses.

Raheem Sterling has acknowledged that Chelsea's dismal performance this year has left the team's locker room speechless, and that they frequently "just sit in the changing room looking into space" after losses.

The £50 million transaction that brought Sterling, 28, the first player signed under Todd Boehly in July has not produced the same level of goal-scoring that made him a mainstay in Manchester City's championship squads.

The England international has only scored four Premier League goals this season despite having hit double figures in goals each of the last five seasons he spent in Manchester. His struggles in front of goal this year have mirrored those of his teammates at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues completed the signing of PSV forward Noni Madueke and brought in Joao Felix on loan for the remainder of the season in January. Mykhaylo Mudryk joined the team in a move worth up to £87 million.

Since taking over at Stamford Bridge, Boehly has spent just shy of £550 million in transfer fees, transforming his team. Although Chelsea has added 13 players since Sterling's summer 2017 signing, the club is still mired in the bottom half of the Premier League and will end the season without a trophy.

In an interview with The Sun, Sterling acknowledged that "you have lows sometimes." "Though I haven't faced a circumstance like this yet in my career, I am more than capable of meeting the challenge.

"We are unhappy when we leave the pitch and feel frustrated and angry. Sometimes after a game, you simply sit in the locker room and stare into space because you don't know what just happened.

This season, Chelsea has employed four different managers, with Thomas Tuchel being replaced by Graham Potter in September. However, following the recent firing of the former Brighton manager, Bruno Saltor managed the first team for one game before Frank Lampard was named as the interim manager.

Before his miserable tenure in the dugout continued this week as Brentford inflicted a fifth straight loss for the Blues with a two-goal victory at Stamford Bridge, Lampard became the club's first manager to lose each of his opening four matches in the hotseat.

But Sterling insisted he has no regrets about switching to the team from all-powerful City, saying: "That's the lovely thing. I had a good experience and collected several awards in my prior club. However, I enjoy taking on new challenges, and I signed up for this one.

It's a challenge I'll get beyond. Cutlery from an occasion like this will taste even better than if you were winning every week.
