Mason Mount, a Chelsea midfielder who has been dealing with lower stomach pain for a while, shared a photo on Instagram following abdominal surgery.
The 24-year-old's stomach illness became apparent in March when he was unable to play in Chelsea's 1-0 victory over Leeds United thanks to a goal from Wesley Fofana.
Mount will miss the remainder of the season, interim manager Frank Lampard revealed during the press conference following the match against Brentford.
But on Tuesday, following a fruitful procedure, the midfielder uploaded a picture to Instagram with the caption:
The 24-year-old had a challenging year, and it's probable that his lower abdomen condition kept him from giving every game his all. He also received harsh criticism from his followers, which prompted him to cancel his Twitter account.
But when the new manager is hired, we'll need him to be at his best, so let's hope he's fully recovered and rested for the coming campaign.
