Jurgen Klopp criticises Todd Bohely for one thing he did wrong while at Chelsea, saying, "To be honest, this is what we will not do."
Jurgen Klopp, manager of Liverpool, has acknowledged that he is pleased to see Chelsea struggle this year following the club's significant transfer expenditure.
Since Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital bought the team last summer, Chelsea has added 16 players in each of the past two transfer windows.
Chelsea are currently 12th in the Premier League, 10 points clear of the relegation zone, and 14 points behind seventh-placed Liverpool despite having spent approximately £600 million on new players.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Klopp admitted: "I feel a little bit for Chelsea to be honest, because it's not going well, and I think they're a top, top club. But on the other side, it's good to see that you cannot just get top players together and hope it works out.
The guys there overlooked the importance of team building and made it practically impossible for their coaches to accomplish their jobs.
The reason I'm a little bit thrilled about it is because of the trip it took to get there: "You cannot have two dressing rooms, you cannot practise on two pitches, you have to build relationships, you have to build team spirit.
"Chelsea won't be affected in the end, and they'll be very competitive next year, but I'm just using them as an example.
We can't do it that way, not at the top level. That is something we will not do. The correct players must be added, and a new team must be formed. This group produced a sensational piece, and we are now beginning a brand-new one.
