Chelsea players respond to news that Mauricio Pochettino would replace  frank  Lampard as manager.

According to reports, Mauricio Pochettino becoming the club's next permanent head coach has the Chelsea players excited.

Following several fruitful discussions between the Argentine and Chelsea, Pochettino has become the front-runner to permanently replace Graham Potter.

The English players for Chelsea have international teammates who have worked with Pochettino at Tottenham Hotspur, and the squad is aware of his coaching abilities as well as his reputation as a strong man-manager and motivator.

Some of the more seasoned and successful members of the team at Chelsea also think highly of Pochettino as a coach because of his background and expertise, having also led Paris Saint-Germain.

Even though there will likely be a significant summer clear-out, the general mood in the club's locker room is thought to be one of optimism.

Chelsea has had a terrible season, and Potter has paid the price. In a temporary position, Frank Lampard hasn't performed any better.
