As the search for a new manager continues, Todd Boehly addresses Chelsea supporters

In order for Chelsea to bounce back from a disastrous first season under the new ownership, Todd Boehly has pleaded with the club's supporters to maintain their confidence.

Co-owner Boehly oversaw a disorganised first season during which he approved a £600 million transfer budget, fired Thomas Tuchel, hired and fired Graham Potter, and saw Chelsea drop to the bottom of the Premier League standings.

The Blues' attention is now on the Champions League, where they will face Real Madrid in the first leg of their quarterfinal on Wednesday night. Boehly has already projected a great 3-0 victory for his underperforming team against the defending champions.

Soon later, he issued a letter to Chelsea supporters, many of whom hold Boehly responsible for the team's present struggles.

"Have a lot of faith," he advised Sky Sports. And tonight we're going to win 3-0.

We view this as a very long-term process, and we had a lot of work to do, but we're optimistic about the future, he continued.

"The future is promising, and tonight is looking good,"

Chelsea's main priority at the moment is finding a new manager. Frank Lampard was hired as a caretaker manager and will serve in that capacity through the end of the current campaign in an effort to bring interim stability to the team until a permanent replacement is found.

The Blues administration is considering a number of options, including Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique, and is eager to chat with as many as possible of them in order to assess which one will work best for the squad moving ahead.
