Chelsea has been one of the more busy teams in recent transfer windows. The club is undergoing several changes, including a new board and even a new manager.
Kovacic, 28, is in the last year of his deal at Stamford Bridge and will be free to speak with international teams in January 2024 about a pre-contract arrangement. Although Chelsea does not want to lose the player, there is a sense that he is prepared to leave the team.
There has reportedly been a breakthrough in negotiations between Kovacic and the Premier League winners during the past week, according to Fabrizio Romano.
According to reports, the Croatian is eager to transfer, and Chelsea is willing to let him go.
