Micah Richards gives Chelsea's top player transfer advice: "He needs to go somewhere where he needs to be the main man."
Christian Pulisic needs to leave Chelsea in the summer, according to former Manchester City defender Micah Richards.
Despite the Blues' disastrous season, Pulisic had a minor role for the squad. Richards recently provided the following comments to CBS Sports (via Daily Mail) on the American attacker:
"He must travel to a place where he must be the main guy. He acts differently and feels more in charge when he represents the US. He has to be more reliable since he is much better than he appears to be.
Richards' remarks were furthered by former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher, who said, "He needs to move on now.
The ideal moment was twelve months ago. It would be better for his career if he could move on.
Last season, Pulisic made 30 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions, with one goal and two assists.
But only 10 of those contests saw the 24-year-old get the ball.He moved to the Blues from Borussia Dortmund in 2019, and in 145 games since then, he has scored 26 goals and supplied 21 assists.
During his tenure at Dortmund, Pulisic was a highly regarded player who contributed 19 goals and 26 assists in 127 senior appearances.
However, the American has noticed a drop in performance after displaying his brilliance in the start of his time at Stamford Bridge.
