Mason Mount makes an unexpected choice as Chelsea players react to a social media announcement
Chelsea news: Mason Mount made a significant decision this summer before intense transfer rumours surfaced.
Mason Mount has undergone a small transformation while on vacation, so it's a case of new season, new Mason Mount. He is making the most of his free time after spending last weekend away at the Spanish Grand Prix, where he met up with Ben Chilwell, Reece James, and Joao Felix.
However, he is unable to escape the heated speculating about his future. A number of clubs are vying to sign Mount, who has just over a year left on his deal. In that aspect, Manchester United is at the forefront and is putting together a proposal. Additionally, Arsenal and Liverpool have expressed interest.
Mauricio Pochettino will be anxiously hoping for a change of course with this as he gets ready to take over formally on July 1 ahead of preseason, with Chelsea waiting for Mount to return before making a final decision. Mount is still taking use of his downtime to relax and heal.
He has a new hairdo that is similar to the Paul Gascoigne look that was fashionable in 2021 at the Euros. At the time, Mount didn't join the group wearing it, but he has since joined.
In a photo with the hashtag "Tranquilo," he displays his new hairstyle and bleached, blonde colour. It is certainly a departure from his usual brown attire and has attracted attention as well. A flashback to 2021 has been followed by Gabriel Jesus from Arsenal.
Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham, two former Chelsea players, also commented on the post in support of his choice. The English defender tweeted, "Oh blondie [eyes emoji]," while Abraham responded, "The boyyy [fire emoji]."
They don't speak for everyone who has commented. While reporting that James Maddison, a Chelsea transfer target, gave him a new moniker, Kai Havertz was also quick to answer.
He wrote, "Will the real slim shady please stand up." He will be playing for England without Mount, who was dropped out of the most recent team, after being demoted with Leicester. His focus is mostly on his future, which is likely to be one of the summer's most important stories.
