Jude Bellingham, Fran Garcia, and Joselu may have already signed contracts with Real Madrid, but further additions are need if they are to compete with the top teams in Europe next season.

The team lacks depth all across the field, but notably up front. There are fewer alternatives now that major players like Karim Benzema, Marco Asensio, Eden Hazard, and Mariano Diaz have departed the team.

In the current state of affairs, Real Madrid's only two trustworthy forwards are Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo. Joselu may have turned out to be a wise acquisition as well, but it is difficult to imagine him starting at position nine for Los Blancos.

Real Madrid therefore needs additional players in the latter third of the pitch. But Chelsea managed to land one of their objectives.

Christopher Nkunku has recently signed with Chelsea for a reported sum of between €60 million and €65 million, which, given the current state of the transfer market, may really be a bit of a steal. However, it appears that the agreement has been in place for some time.

Nkunku was one of the most favoured players at Real Madrid to bolster the attacking line, as tweeted by Jorge C. Picon. But they were running late. In the early part of the season, Chelsea moved ahead and completed the signing of the Frenchman.

Nkunku is without a doubt a fantastic talent. Despite missing many months of activity due to injury, he led the Bundesliga in scoring last season.

He competed at all levels and shown his talent against the top teams in Europe when he was living in Germany. In 172 games with RB Leipzig, he made 70 goals and contributed 56 assists, according to Transfermarkt statistics.

Nkunku, for example, might have been a great acquisition for Real Madrid. Unfortunately, they were unable to reach a consensus. Let's see how he does at Chelsea.
