To become the next head coach of the club, Mauricio Pochettino signs a contract with Chelsea.

After signing his contract, Mauricio Pochettino is about to make an official announcement about his move to Chelsea.

Following the departures of Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter this season, the 51-year-old will become the team's third head coach under the Todd Boehly-Clearlake Capital ownership.

In west London, Pochettino is said to have reached an agreement on a three-year contract, and Matt Law of the Daily Telegraph has claimed that the Argentinean has signed his contract.

He will take over as Chelsea's manager this summer as they prepare for the 2023–24 season in an effort to avoid a repetition of their disastrous performance this past season, which will come to an end on Sunday when Newcastle United and Chelsea play to a draw at Stamford Bridge.

Pochettino faces a challenging task in getting Chelsea back to the top of the standings and into the Champions League and Premier League.

The former Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain manager's first duty as Chelsea try to cut the bloated 30-plus man team is a squad revamp.

N'Golo Kante and Mason Mount's contracts need to be resolved this summer, and several new players are desired to strengthen the Chelsea roster.
