After spending a lot of time away from the team, Frank Lampard gave Edouard Mendy a significant opportunity today.
Since suffering an injury in the fall, the goalkeeper has been Kepa Arrizabalaga's understudy; however, today was a great and unusual opportunity for him to play for the Blues after Frank Lampard extended the invitation.
Unfortunately, he failed his first significant test, and Nottingham Forest currently lead the game. Taiwo Awoniyi was there to put the ball in the net after Mendy flapped at a high ball and made it appear difficult.
