A significant Chelsea contract agreement may benefit from Mauricio Pochettino's appointment.
Todd Boehly is still looking for Chelsea's next permanent manager while N'Golo Kante is still negotiating a new contract at Stamford Bridge.

The impending appointment of Mauricio Pochettino as Chelsea manager may aid in concluding negotiations for N'Golo Kante's new contract.

According to the Daily Telegraph, who also asserts that Kante and Pochettino have always had a desire to collaborate, this is the case. Kante's contract at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of the month, but negotiations for an extension are well under way, and the hiring of Pochettino may be the final straw for him.

The 32-year-old has missed much of the season due to injury, but he returned to the team last month. Since then, he has started seven of the past nine games in all competitions. While all is going on, Chelsea has been searching for a new manager for almost six weeks. Former Tottenham manager Pochettino appears to have won the job, beating out candidates like Julien Naglesmann and Luis Enrique.

Given Kante's tireless engine, Pochettino is known for his fierce, high-pressing style of play, which would fit Kante to a T. The Telegraph continued, "During his time as manager in the French capital, Pochettino was eager to prise Kante to Paris Saint-Germain, but no move ever materialized."

If the procedures surrounding Pochettino's appointment are completed as anticipated, the two might now fulfill their dream of working together, and the excitement surrounding Kante's extension is well-founded. These agreements are only the beginning of a very hectic summer for the club in terms of both new and exiting players.
