In light of Vincent Kompany's achievements at Burnley this season, he has been strongly linked to both the Chelsea and Tottenham jobs.

The rumours that Vincent Kompany is in the running to manage Chelsea have received a response from him. Todd Boehly is eager to discover the ideal candidate, and the 37-year-old head coach has been mentioned frequently as a potential replacement for Frank Lampard this summer.

Early favourites included Julian Naglesmann to fill the position at Stamford Bridge, but as talks dragged on and stalled, they eventually fell through. The position in west London was also mentioned by name, however Luis Enrique later distanced himself from the position.

Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti were also discussed, though the latter disqualified himself. According to The Times, Chelsea is now considering Mauricio Pochettino, Vincent Kompany, and Ange Postecoglou as potential replacements for the Argentinean, who is now the front-runner.

The question of the former Manchester City manager's future at Turf Moor was raised following Burnley's 2-1 loss to QPR this past weekend, but he reaffirmed that his only goal is to win games. This season, with automatic promotion already secured, Kompany has guided the Clarets back into the Premier League.

The Belgian responded, "I stated I'm not engaging on any of these chats. "My desire to win football games is taking up too much of my mental space right now. I'm solely concerned about that.

Recently, Kompany was frequently mentioned as a candidate to lead Tottenham. Although there has been a lot of interest in his services, Dimitar Berbatov thinks the City great will stay at Burnley.

The former Tottenham striker told Betfred that he didn't think the player would join Tottenham. "What he's accomplished with Burnley is a tremendous accomplishment, and I think he'll want to work with them in the Premier League again the following season and support them in their bid to remain there. It's going to be a difficult challenge, but I have no doubt that he will like it.

He will want to continue growing as a manager at Burnley, and I have no doubt that he will have aspirations to lead Manchester City in the future. I think he will keep honing his managing abilities at a few other clubs till that chance comes up. Congratulations on all that he has already accomplished at Burnley.
