Chelsea: At Stamford Bridge, a star making £100,000 a week has "caught Lampard's eye."
Lampard has reportedly captured the attention of Chelsea's £100k per week star who Potter hardly ever gets to see.

The announcement last week that club legend Frank Lampard will be making a comeback excited a huge portion of Chelsea's supporters.

In the beginning of the same week, the club had been conducting interviews with potential hires; they had even personally met Luis Enrique. Julian Nagelsmann, among other contenders, was called on the phone. The club resorted to Lampard on a temporary basis until the conclusion of the season, giving them some more time to hire the ideal permanent choice in the summer, which is why the manager news has now died down and nothing has advanced.

Could Lampard land a full-time position at Chelsea?
Lampard could stay? He didn't come with the idea of staying only temporarily, according to what I've been told, and he wants to establish his candidacy for the full-time position. If Lampard has a strong run from now until the end of the season, particularly if he pulls off a miracle and wins the Champions League, the club would not rule this out. Naturally, Roberto Di Matteo was fired despite that, but if Lampard were to win, I don't believe the new owners would follow suit.

In truth, the club is still considering, interviewing, and evaluating potential permanent managers for the summer, and that is still the plan. Although Nagelsmann is currently in the lead, the race is still somewhat open. The club is mostly focused on supporting Lampard for the remainder of the season and merely wants to make something of it.

Enrique also pleased the club, but everyone will need some time to think about their alternatives. Lampard's installation at Chelsea has given them more time to accomplish it.

Lampard has just participated in two Chelsea training sessions since rejoining the team, yet he was immediately included in the starting lineup for an away game at Wolves, a team that is actively trying to avoid the relegation zone. The Blues lost the game 1-0, and the fans' initial euphoria following the return of a club great quickly subsided.

Could Lampard alter his strategy when facing Real Madrid?
Although Lampard switched to his favored 4-3-3 system, I believe that he and his team had also given the idea of sticking with a back three serious consideration. I would be extremely shocked if they didn't do so for the match against Real Madrid on Wednesday night.

Lampard struggled to communicate his views after only two practices, and he hasn't truly evaluated his complete team yet. Although though he had previously worked with several of them, the squad has undergone a significant transformation, and there are many new members. Lampard has acknowledged that he didn't have enough time to see every Chelsea game this season, so he is essentially starting over with each one. This has benefits and drawbacks, and some Chelsea supporters have already expressed their annoyance at his return to the starting lineup.

Lampard can't tell right from wrong since he is actually between a rock and a hard place. He needs to provide results, and there are instances when relying on expertise is the best course of action. Yet, many of these "seasoned" players have been regularly underperforming throughout the season, and some of them ought to be benched. I have no doubt Lampard will notice that.

Yet Lampard is eager to give them all a fresh start now for the simple reason that he hopes to stay for a long time, is aware of how difficult it is to replace players, and does not want to find himself in the same position as previously with a poisonous dressing room at the end of his tenure.

Lampard won't be hesitant to let go of people, give other players a chance, and then select players based solely on merit once he has evaluated his group. Angered both during and after the Wolves game, Lampard spoke vehemently to the players at halftime and the end of the match to remind them what it means to wear the Chelsea FC badge. It will be difficult to strike a balance, but it is just one of many issues that managers must deal with.

Who has so far captured Lampard's attention?
Carney Chukwuemeka stands out among the players who have attracted Lampard's attention so far. He is said to make £100,000 a week, according to Spotrac, therefore I was extremely surprised to not see him in the squad on Saturday. Yet, it's still very early, and going forward, I do anticipate seeing Lampard take more of these kinds of "risks." Lampard likes Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and I can see him playing more minutes as the season comes to a close.

We cannot draw too much conclusions from Lampard's first XL, and the players have embraced him warmly upon his return. He was a fairly well-liked pick to join the team, but many of the players are eager to learn more about the long-term outlook and the manager they will be working for very soon.
