Chelsea is about to beat Arsenal to sign Brazilian youngster
Arsenal was reportedly keeping an eye on Vitor Roque, according to the Brazilian newspaper Goal in February.
The Spanish daily MD has just revealed that Chelsea has already entered into this deal.
Despite being in a strong negotiating position, the study claimed Arsenal made "not very much" of an attempt.
The Stamford Bridge home team, in contrast, is at this moment "taking drastic action" to complete the signing of the 18-year-old.
Even Barcelona, the team that has been rumored to be in the lead for weeks, is now cautious of a strong Chelsea entrance.
Roque is reportedly valued at 42 million euros, which is a staggering sum for an 18-year-old talent competing in Brazil.
Due to his physical resemblance to his predecessor, Sergio Aguero, Athletico Paranaense's striker is referred to as "Sergio Aguero 2.0".
Even Breaking the Lines reported that Vitor is marginally superior to Aguero in terms of good speed and team-playing skills. South American players, though, have a long way to go before they can compete in the Premier League.
